Stains the wash bacin, but not your hair
I used Radico wine red colour and was not happy with the result. My hair is medium brown with some grey hair, so the roots came out bright orange and the rest orange brown. It did not oxidise to anything that would resemble a red or wine colour either. So I made my own mixture of manjistha, logwood, hibiscus and a spoon of henna, to tone down the orange colour. The mixture was a dark red/violet colour, my wash basin was stained with just the colour I wanted on my hair. Had the mixture on for two hours. Nothing happened - the orange-brown from the henna mixture colour stayed exactly the same. It took some minutes to scrub and clean the wash basin, though...
I am done with trying to get a red (as in really dark red, not orange) or violet shade with natural powders that have no chemicals added. It just cannot be done and I have tried to achieve this in many different combinations. Women use all sorts of filters to post their results on the internet, to show that they have finally cracked the code of how to get a dark red or violet with natural powders. It just cannot be done.
